Founded in 2005 in istanbul, group created by different art disciplines,
making streetart actions on post-graffiti.
Pet05 Creatures
With their metamorphosed forms due to their interaction with the environment they exist, the creatures emerged as a reaction to the urban reality. The creatures first appeared as a street art form –stencil- and over the time they also developed into digital format.
Although in a glance the creatures are being perceived as cute and sympathetic, they question the reality and the metamorphoses they have been through with their ferocious and brutal nature.
These creatures that I apply to the streets, which I use as an art platform, they are also stand as a reminder of ugliness in the space they exist. With a certain ‘mind trick’, they attract the attention to the truth in ‘misperception created by the appearance’ since they evolve over time like human beings do.
